At Under Grace, we have made it our goal to reach as many families and individuals in need as possible. To help those in need receive the home care and personal care they require, we have compiled resources they can use to help ease their medical expenses. We specialize in assisting with Medicaid applications. Contact us today for inquiries.

What Is Covered by Medicare? 

Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and/or Medicare Part B (medical insurance) covers eligible home health services such as:

  • Intermittent Skilled Nursing Care
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech-Language Pathology Services
  • Continued Occupational Services

Part B covers most of the following:

  • Medically Necessary Doctor’s Services
  • Preventive Care
    • Durable Medical Equipment
    • Hospital Outpatient Services
  • Laboratory Tests
  • X-Rays
  • Mental Health Care
  • Some Home Health and Ambulance Services

You pay a monthly premium for this coverage. If you qualify for the home health benefit, Medicare covers the following types of care:

  • Skilled Nursing Services
  • Nursing Services
  • Home Health Services

These are available up to 7 days a week for no more than 8 hours per day.

Provided that you are eligible for Medicare, you can enroll manually if you don't qualify for automatic enrollment. You can enroll by visiting the Social Security website or calling Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (text telephone (TTY) users should call 1-800-325-0778) from Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
